Storan Technologies Releases New Version of Medicare Risk Adjustment Software
ST. LOUIS, May 31 - Storan Technologies Inc. is announcing the immediate availability of Merlin Risk Adjustment 5.0, a Web-based solution that helps health plans and medical groups efficiently and accurately document an individual patient's diagnoses to ensure full Medicare reimbursement.
New features in MRA 5.0 include a completely redesigned user interface, improved record-keeping and clinical-documentation notes, imaging capabilities, and split-screen and dual monitor for data capture. It also includes an extensive reporting suite for project and medical/provider performance as well as risk adjusted data submission.
MRA is the only data recapture project management system that allows both business and IT users to easily capture the data needed to document a patient's diagnosis under the CMS Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC) system. It enables distributed data coding teams to collaborate through a Web-based environment to create, manage, validate and deploy data coding projects.

Using MRA 5.0, a business team can trace and audit coding patterns by coder, project and provider; provide Web-based management reports for project history; see a complete history of all chart reviews and corrections; verify coding validity with a rule-based engine and quality assurance process; and predict the impact of changes by testing against previous business conditions daily, weekly or monthly.
MRA's Merlin Team Server component also provides a full-circle project life cycle system that manages and analyzes the impact of data recapture projects from project rescheduling, management, reporting and data synchronization to CMS submittal.
