Recession-Buster: Larson Systems Unleashes New Spring Gage "Species"

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN.-It's smaller than a Lynx®, faster than a Panther®, and traces its lineage back to a Lion®. Larson Systems Inc., (LSI) announces the release of its new Tiger(TM) Spring Gage.

Billed as a "recession-buster," the Tiger Gage provides faster, more accurate readings than Larson's popular Panther and Lynx spring gages in a smaller, more compact case. Recent machining upgrades and new electronics at LSI have allowed the company to build the Tiger for less than the current price of its top-of-the-line Panther.

Operators no longer need to understand capacitance measurement-the Tiger does it for them. Precise adjustments help manufacturers reduce scrag. The Tiger is considered a "plug and play" gage; no programming is required, and anyone familiar with the Lynx or Panther will be able to operate it in just minutes. The Tiger Gage is compatible with all LSI probes and sorters.

The Tiger Spring Gage is available in two models and three software packages. The Tiger "Upgrade with a Future" is an electronic upgrade that retrofits into the Lion 300-9 series spring gage case. "That's our 'green' option," says LSI President Dave Larson. "We like to 'reduce, reuse, recycle' whenever it makes sense."

The standard Tiger comes in a smaller, more compact box and weighs just three pounds. It has more features than the Lynx and Panther gages.

Software packages include the Tiger Cub, which is comparable in functionality to the Lion 300-9; the Tiger, which compares to the Lynx; and the Super Tiger, which has all the functionality of LSI's Panther gage and more.

Larson also announced a trade-in allowance for spring manufacturers who currently own a Lion 300-9, Lynx, Panther-or any competitive spring gage--and wish to upgrade to the Tiger series. For more information, contact Dave Groeneweg, 763-780-2131 or davegroeneweg@larsonsystems.com.
