New Quick Connect Automatically Insulates Receptacle Contact
HARRISBURG, Pa., October 28 - Tyco Electronics today introduced the Ultra-Pod .110 Series FASTON Receptacle This product is a fully-insulated receptacle for .110 tabs at .020 and .032 thickness. Ultra-Pod .110 Series FASTON Receptacles employ F-crimp wire termination with reliable automatic insulation. An all-in-one applicator eliminates the need for post insulation processing. Suitable applications for this product include major household appliances, portable appliances, floor care machinery and gaming machines.
Ultra-Pod .110 Series FASTON Receptacles will accept 22-18 AWG wire with insulation diameters up to .120. The contacts are made from brass or tin-plated brass. Two housing styles are available. One housing meets UL 94V-0 flammability requirements and the other meets UL 94V-2 flammability requirements. Contacts, which are suitable for solid or stranded wire, are rated for 600 VAC.
The AMP-O-LECTRIC Model G Press, AMP-O-LECTRIC Model K Press or Entry Level Terminator (ELT) can be used to crimp this product to wire. Wire stripping modules can be added on to the AMP-O-LECTRIC Model G Press and ELT.
Pricing, in strip form at the 8000 quantity level is $.07 per piece. Delivery is generally 10 weeks.
