Mount Kisco, NY – Jan 29, 2019 - RDI, Inc. announces the introduction of its new AW Series of modular compact PCB mount AC/DC Power Supplies. These small footprint PCB mount power supplies support Global, Municipal and Industrial power grids enabling developers to easily embed AC/DC conversion directly into their Mains Powered products.
Anticipating the growth of Municipal and Industrial IoT solutions, RDI developed the AW Series specifically to address the broad AC voltage environments encountered in these markets and to enable embedding of the power supply on the PCB. The AW Series supports up to 300VAC input with an operating ambient temperature of -40°C to 85°C while delivering up to 20W continuous output power. Operating with a such wide AC Input voltage range enables operation with virtually any Power Distribution grid including:
- Single Phase 120/240
- 3-Phase Wye including 208Y120, 480Y277
- 3-Phase Delta and 3-phase Open Wye
A majority of Municipal and Industrial IoT devices will incorporate Wireless Connectivity meaning the power supply may be in close proximity to the device antenna and TX/RX circuitry. The RDI AW Series incorporates unique shielding and filtering over and above regulatory requirements especially in the LTE bands to ensure conducted and radiated emissions do not interfere with Wireless Connectivity.
