UMTS Deployments of Femtocell Devices can now be Monitored and Analyzed by RADCOM's end-to-end Solution
BARCELONA, Spain, February 12 -- RADCOM, Ltd. (NASDAQ and TASE: RDCM), a leading network test and service monitoring solutions provider, today announced that it has extended the capability of its Network Consultant troubleshooting solution to deliver analysis of Femtocell technology for UMTS networks.

The end-to-end view of subscriber activity provided by Network Consultant includes correlation of all signaling, enabling troubleshooting of faults on the Radio and Core Network and providing analysis of QoS affected by radio sub-network problems. It simultaneously monitors the activity of thousands of Femtocells and calls, providing reports, KPIs and alarms."
Femtocell solutions are now being deployed to improve residential and office cellular connectivity using in-room access points. Service providers are promoting the technology as a cost-effective way for customers to extend indoor coverage. However, this service puts extreme loads on the network, with thousands of cells located throughout the service area. With revenue dependent on the ability to provide smooth connectivity of those cells to the network, UMTS operators can now extend their network view to the Femtocells to assure quality of service (QoS) for those home/office customers.
The Network Consultant troubleshooting solution correlates information detected on the various UMTS, GPRS and GSM interfaces and presents them in one unified view. Its wide range of features provides both online and offline end-to-end radio access, Core signaling and Core IP session and service level overviews. Network Consultant drills down into each interface, analyzing voice, video and data sessions.
Using RADCOM's innovative Network Consultant, cellular vendors and operators can test specific cellular components and perform full system testing of the whole cellular network.
