Quintum Tenors Deliver Plug and Play Unified Communications with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007

Simplified Implementation and Integration with Legacy Infrastructure Are Key Benefits to Deploying Tenors with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007

EATONTOWN, N.J., Oct. 16 / / -- Quintum Technologies, a VoIP innovator, today announced its Tenor line of VoIP switches and gateways will provide interoperability with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. Quintum will offer a hybrid gateway that will provide a single box solution with an integrated Tenor gateway and Microsoft Mediation server, simplifying the interface with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007. The Tenor line offers customers the ability to easily integrate legacy and IP-based PBXs, analog endpoints, fax, modems and provides connectivity to the Public Switched Telephone network (PSTN).

Quintum, a Certified Partner in the Microsoft Partner Program, has worked to assure that the Tenor products and the Office Communications Server 2007 software platform work easily and seamlessly together. These efforts include a customized configuration wizard for deploying Tenor with Office Communications Server 2007, as well as a dedicated support staff for 7x24 support to Microsoft customers.

In addition, Quintum Tenors feature a unique embedded Unified Communications Proxy (UC Proxy). The UC Proxy enables the Tenor gateway to provide "Any to Any" connectivity of standard SIP and legacy telephony equipment to the unified communications cloud. Tenor's UC Proxy also offers the ability to deploy multiple gateways off of a Mediation Server, and support connectivity to branch office gateways, including Tenor Survivable Branch Office gateways that provide back up for standard SIP networks.

"We are very excited to have our line of Tenor gateways included in the upcoming launch of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007," said Chuck Rutledge, VP of Marketing at Quintum Technologies. "Our solution is designed to easily integrate an enterprise's existing voice and data network with Office Communications Server 2007 with minimal effort and business downtime, which makes Quintum the perfect fit for any enterprise looking to implement a unified communications solution."

Tenors are unique in their capabilities to integrate Office Communications Server 2007 with legacy analog equipment and traditional PBXs and IP PBXs, while supporting multiple gateways and branch offices off of a mediation server. They also assure emergency service connectivity for analog and IP telephony devices, as well as fax-over-IP and modem-over-IP functionality.

In further support of the relationship with Microsoft Corp., Quintum is announcing its Tenor Hybrid gateway specifically in support of Microsoft unified communications technologies that will have all the Tenor functionality and an integrated Mediation Server. The Tenor Hybrid Gateway can support up to 4 T1/E1/PRI trunks. This single box solution simplifies VoIP deployments for unified communications and reduces the total cost of ownership.

Quintum has developed a microsite on www.quintum.com/microsoft/index.html as a reference for information and updates related to the launch.
