M12-QCS - Snap-on Mating Replaces Threaded Coupling
During the past years the quick termination of different types of cable connectors was the focus of our product development. Products featuring our rapid termination technique HARAX® have been developed for all kinds of applications. Now, the main target for improvement has moved to the way connectors are mated, the security of the connection and the ease of disconnection. We have moved forward to a more efficient and easy to use design of the mating connector parts. Previous threaded mating technology may be replaced by this new quicker method, with full backwards compatibility.
HARTING is offering a new quick connection system (M12-QCS Quick-Connection-System), which only requires a push mating and a threaded collar is no longer required to secure and seal the connector in the mated condition. With the push mating the connection is made, locking is guaranteed and the features of IP 65/67 are fulfilled. The system is also vibration proof. QCS from HARTING offers more than one advantage: The new versions are easy to handle, space saving and are backwards compatible with other M12 technologies on the market.
