INCAT Products Inc. Launches Quality Checker for Autodesk Inventor®

iCHECK for Autodesk Inventor detects errors early, reduces ECOs

DETROIT, Sept. 13 /-- INCAT Products Inc. (IPI), a subsidiary of INCAT(R) International plc, announced today the launch of iCHECK(TM) for Autodesk Inventor(R), the newest addition to the IPI portfolio of quality assurance applications.

With iCHECK, Autodesk Inventor users can check the quality of 3D models and drawings during the early phases of design -- resulting in consistency across designs, fewer Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and timely customer deliverables.

For users who build Inventor designs working with multiple internal or external teams, or who work with a supplier or OEM, iCHECK for Autodesk Inventor will help establish consistent standards and automatically flag and fix errors that can otherwise be impossible to detect.

"Customers such as Boeing, Parker and Honda have successfully used this same iCHECK platform for years with Dassault Systemes' CATIA(R) product. We are now bringing this mature technology to mainstream Autodesk Inventor users," said Tanuj Bansal, IPI Managing Director. "iCHECK for Autodesk Inventor is as easy to use as the spell check function in Microsoft Word(TM), with powerful configuration and customizability underneath."

iCHECK for Autodesk Inventor is easy to use because it works inside Inventor, similar to any other Inventor function. Automated or manual corrections can be applied while learning the best practices through its context-sensitive customizable help system. iCHECK for Inventor also can be built into your business process by integrating it with a Product Data Management (PDM) system of choice such as UGS Teamcenter Engineering, Dassault Enovia/LCA, and Autodesk Vault or Autodesk Productstream.

"INCAT's unparalleled combination of Autodesk domain and business process knowledge uniquely positions us to bring these valuable solutions to this market," said INCAT CEO Ulrich Herter.

iCHECK for Autodesk Inventor is available for Autodesk Inventor 9 and 10. To learn more, visit www.incat.com/iPRODUCTS .

About iCHECK(TM)
iCHECK(TM) helps customers eliminate productivity loss because of poor design quality and lack of compliance with corporate standards. iCHECK works from within an application interface, so that users remain in a familiar CAD environment. As a part of the design process, iCHECK is able to interrogate a model or drawing against a set of previously defined standards -- providing immediate feedback and choices to correct any errors. By using iCHECK as a part of working practices, the integrity of the model data passed on or received is assured. The process of interrogation can be achieved interactively, in batch mode, or through integration with existing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
