New Pump Designs Provide Ways to Safely and Dependably Transfer Toxic, Critical, Harsh Fluids

EVANSVILLE, WI, July 29, 2002 - Haight Pumps has introduced two pump designs, a Magnetic Drive and Barrier Seal, that make leakage in demanding pumping applications a thing of the past.

Based on their highly successful Universal Pump line, both designs provide versatility and protection not found in other pumps of this kind.

The Magnetic Drive transfers hazardous and toxic fluids from 1-80 gpm at temperatures to 570°F at standard motor speeds. It's close coupled mounting provides for simple, bolt-on installation to any Haight Universal Pump. Precision machined Hastelloy containment vessel and Samarium Cobalt magnet drive, a combination long recognized for reliability, extends service life to 20 years and helps provide maximum torque.

The Barrier Seal Design transfers toxic, critical, harsh and other extreme fluids at greater temperatures, pressures and capacities. Also designed for simple, bolt-on installation to a Haight Universal pump, the barrier seal monitors and contains shaft leakage. Its two sealing element with isolated chamber provides protection and has the ability to detect and provide preventative maintenance before failures can occur.
