Oilgear's PVK Pump Features High Horsepower for High Performance Applications

(February 7, 2006; Milwaukee, Wisconsin) The Oilgear Company's PVK open loop, axial piston pump series provides medium to high horsepower for high performance applications. With a large selection of controls that can be readily interchanged, the PVK pump is available in three displacements and multiple frame sizes.

Featuring Oilgear's "hard-on-hard" rotating group, PVK pumps have a hardened cylinder surface running on a hardened valve plate, providing greater resistance to contamination. Cylinder mounted polymerous journal bearings provide infinite bearing life and contribute to the unit's compact design. Special polymerous bearings on the swashblock and saddle permit consistent control reaction and eliminate troublesome yoke bearings. Steel shoes run along the hardened swashblock surface and facilitate a higher degree of contaminate resistance. Each of these features also allow for operation with low viscosity or other special fluids.

Other main features for PVK pumps include:
o Quiet valve plate design to help minimize noise at typical electric motor speeds
o SAE keyed or SAE splined shaft
o Sealed front shaft bearings to permit side loading
o Lubricated swashblock
o Upto1800rpm
o Maximum pressure of 5800 psi (400 bar)
o Theoretical Maximum Displacements ranging from 8.61 in³/rev (141 ml/rev) to 22.4 in³/rev (367 ml/rev)
