Polymer Molding Introduces New PR Series Pull-Ring for Product Protection

Features patented design to makes plugs easier to remove - Free samples offered

(February 2005) - Polymer Molding, Inc. (PMI), Erie, Pennsylvania announces the introduction of its new full line of PR Series Pull-Ring Plugs to protect OEM parts and products during shipping, storage, and masking or other operations. The new tapered-style plugs feature a patented design with built-in lift rings to make the plug easier to remove compared to other tapered or pull-tab plugs. According to PMI, this results in reduced product and thread damage that can be caused by using screwdrivers, pliers, or other labor-intensive means to remove or install plastic plugs.

Constructed of low-density polyethylene in standard blue, the new Pull-Ring Plugs are available to fit all popular NPT, SAE and JIC sizes. In addition, the flat design of the plug allows for efficient packaging, the company states. Seventeen sizes are offered to plug openings from 0.361" to 2.49" (9.17mm to 63.25mm). Plug depths range from ¼" to ½" (6.36mm to 12.7mm). Outer diameter of the pull rings are from 0.745" to 3.075" (18.92mm to 78.11mm).
