Scapa 653 is a specially treated paper tape, single coated with a modified silicone pressure sensitive adhesive. During hot air leveling and wave soldering operations, Scapa 653 provides protection against chemical solvents, solder, and rinse water, offering excellent adhesion to electronic substrates. After processing, the tape may be removed from the substrate cleanly and easily, leaving no adhesive residue. This product offers a wide operating temperature range and is an economical alternative to polyimide tapes.
