New Kice Process Scale Controls Boost Powder Processing Efficiency

Process Scales from Kice Industries Inc., engineered to monitor and control flow of material through a powder processing system, now feature new Allen-Bradley controls. The new controls make replacement parts easier to obtain, allow better communication with plant controls, and facilitate 24-hour service and support from Kice Industries.

Kice Process Scales are engineered for extremely high accuracy in either feeder of dump configurations. They are compact in design to allow installation in tight areas.

Many scaling systems use custom, proprietary electrical components that are difficult to obtain and expensive to service or replace. Incorporating "off-the-shelf" Allen-Bradley controls on Kice Process Scales means customers can source them from any Allen-Bradley supply house, or through Kice. The controls also allow the scales to communicate more easily with existing plant controls. Kice Process Scale control systems can easily be serviced or revised via a phone line at any time, allowing Kice to provide 24-hour support.

The scales also feature a stainless steel body, sanitary shroud design, and adjustable legs for height flexibility. The scale valve diameter is the same diameter as the scale body; preventing chokes, allowing powders to empty and cycle faster, processing larger capacities with small physical size.

The new scales are accurate and field-tested to 99.99% accuracy. Scale controls can communicate directly with the system controller for more accurate measurement. Customized reports can be prepared from 5 second to 24-hour increments. Scales also feature an alarm system that can be set to alert of low extraction rate. Kice custom engineers the Process Scales in capacities to meet customer needs and solve powder process management problems.
