Press Release Summary:
AirLINE system is based on I/O modules that support 11 fieldbus protocols including Profibus DP/FMS, DeviceNET, Ethernet and CANopen, plus IEC 61131 programming standard. DIN rail-mounted I/O modules require less space and provide easier connections and greater remote programmable control than using separate PLC and valve systems. I/O modules available include digital, analog, power switching, bar code reader and scale interfaces.
Original Press Release:
Integrated Pneumatic Valve and Field Controller Saves Significant Space and Labor
The new AirLINE Modular Process Control System, featuring WAGO electronic I/O modules, is designed to provide greater installed cost savings, panel space savings, and higher reliability than separate valve and field controller installations. WAGO I/O modules support eleven fieldbus protocols including PROFIBUS DP/FMS, DeviceNET, Ethernet and CANopen. Complete industrial control functionality is achieved with WAGO's embedded programmable controller that supports the complete IEC 61131 programming standard. This integrated DIN rail mounted solution requires less space, provides easier connections and greater remote programmable control than utilizing separate PLC and valve systems.
The WAGO I/O SYSTEM offers the flexibility to perform discrete and process control; with over 90 compatible I/O modules including digital, analog, power switching, bar code reader, and scale interfaces. This approach provides a high quality and efficient method of addressing applications that require pneumatic and electronic field devices such as water treatment, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, biotech, pulp and paper processing, textile, chemical or semiconductor industries.
Since it was formed in 1951, WAGO's core business has been the design, manufacture and marketing of an increasingly wide range of highly innovative terminal blocks and connectors featuring the company's unique Cage-Clamp connection technology. WAGO is the worldwide leader in spring pressure termination technology, distributed I/O and IEC-61131 controllers.
