Symbion Systems Releases Version 2.5 of Its Symbion-DX Process Analytical Software Suit
TUSTIN, Calif. - Symbion Systems, Inc., a leader in providing analytical instrument control, analysis, and connectivity software, today announced the release of Symbion-DX, Version 2.5. The new software preserves all of the advanced features of earlier versions while adding several new capabilities, including a significantly expanded database functionality, instrument control, spectroscopic data processing, and methods development capabilities. The result is a true universal "Spectroscopic Data System" for use in LIMS, pharmaceutical process analytical technology (PAT) development, and on-line chemical process monitoring.
A significant development with the introduction of Version 2.5 is the inclusion of the Oracle(TM) products as the standard database platform underlying Symbion. With the attainment of Gold Level membership in the Oracle Partner Network (OPN), Symbion can now offer a broad range of Oracle products, including the Oracle Standard Edition with full Oracle support.
In common with the earlier versions of Symbion-DX Version 2.5 provides a standardized platform for controlling a wide range of spectrometers and other analytical instruments. In addition, it provides comprehensive data manipulation and application development capabilities as well as the ability to communicate with numerous chemometric routines, other third party programs, and enterprise-wide data systems. In short, Symbion-DX provides comprehensive multi-instrument analytical capability within a single program, eliminating the need to train operators and analysts on a variety of different software platforms.
