Brady's PAM 3000 Printer Applicator Offers a Fully Automated Labeling Solution

Patented Shuttle Dispense System's Accurate Label Placements Saves Time and Money

MILWAUKEE, WI, May 20, 2003 - Brady Corporation today introduced the PAM 3000, a printer applicator machine designed to create a fully automated labeling solution in a variety of production line applications. PAM 3000 features include zero queue print/apply, an integrated bar code scanner and the ability to print and apply a wide range of label sizes.

"The PAM 3000 has a unique peel-off shuttle system that provides extremely high placement accuracy," said Jim Breitenfeld, product manager. "It's also an ideal solution to compliment a real-time tracking process."

Brady's PAM 3000 has a patented shuttle dispense system that eliminates the need for airflow support to the label prior to placement. This system delivers greater placement accuracy and fewer dispense errors than other applicators, and facilitates the use of smaller labels for microelectronics applications.

The PAM 3000 offers a zero queue print and apply function which ensures that labels are not pre-printed in advance of being needed, ensuring real time product identification. An optional fixed scanner verifies bar codes and ensures data integrity, eliminating flawed or misprinted barcodes from making it to customers' products and operation. Misprinted labels are immediately reprinted up to three times, eliminating errors downstream and saving customers time and money. The PAM 3000 has a flexible applicator arm that allows 0 and 90-degree label placement, providing flexibility for challenging label applications.

The PAM 3000 can be used in a production line or as a stand-alone unit. Label sizes can range from 0.200" (5.00 mm) to 4.567" (116.00 mm) in width and 0.138" (3.50 mm) in to 3.150" (80.00 mm) in height. The PAM 300 can be used in electronics manufacturing for the identification of printed circuit boards, electronic components, EPROM's and work-in-progress. In industrial and automotive manufacturing applications it's ideal for rating plate labels, work-in-progress and consumer product identification. It can also be used in laboratory market applications for the identification of well plates, slides, culture flasks and vial tops.

Brady offers a complete portfolio of services to support the PAM 3000 at your location. Installation, training, depot or on-site repair and service contracts are all available to make the PAM 3000 the most dependable automated labeling solution in the industry.
