Pressure Transmitters suit process monitoring applications.

Press Release Summary:

Series ST 2000 Transmitters feature microprocessor-based electronics, which provide 2-wire, 4-20 mA output signals proportional to measured variables. Microprocessor enhances accuracy by compensating signal for temperature effects. Eight gauge-pressure models range from -14.5 to 6,671 psi and 3 absolute-pressure models range from 0-165 psia. LCD provides local display of process variable. Process connections include ½ in. NPT and flush-mount sanitary connections.

Honeywell Introduces Economical ST 2000 Pressure Transmitter

PHOENIX, June 2, 2003 -- Honeywell (HON: NYSE) Industrial Measurement and Control has added a new line of cost-effective gauge and absolute pressure transmitters to its portfolio of Honeywell Pressure Transmitters.

ST 2000 pressure transmitters are designed for process monitoring applications in industries like food and beverage, power generation, water and waste, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and pulp and paper.

Introduced in Europe in 2001, ST 2000 transmitters are now being launched worldwide.

"Affordable pricing, combined with advanced features, makes the ST 2000 an ideal replacement for conventional analog transmitters," said Marc Duvall, vice president/general manager of Honeywell Industrial Measurement and Control.

The ST 2000 expands Honeywell's product offerings in the growing pressure transmitter market by providing an economical yet powerful complement to the higher performance ST 3000® Smart pressure transmitter line.

Unlike most conventional transmitters, the ST 2000 features microprocessor-based electronics, which provide two-wire, 4-20 mA output signals proportional to the measured variables. The microprocessor enhances accuracy by compensating the signal for temperature effects.

The ST 2000 line comprises eight gauge-pressure models that range from -14.5 to 6671 psi (-1 to 460 bar). Three absolute-pressure models range from 0 to 165 psia (0 to 11.5 bar). All models have a turndown capability of up to 10:1.

Each ST 2000 includes a liquid crystal display indicator for local display of the process variable, another feature setting it apart from conventional transmitters. Users can conveniently configure an ST 2000 via two pushbuttons on the meter, which eliminates the need for a hand-held terminal or PC.

Several process connections are available for the ST 2000, including ½-inch National Pipe Thread (NPT) and flush-mount sanitary connections. For more information about ST 2000 transmitters and other Honeywell field instruments, access, honeywell.com/imc.
