Emerson's New Rosemount® Dry Gas Differential Pressure Transmitter Improves Clean Room and HVAC Applications

Transmitter's reliability, accuracy and stability, and rangeability deliver superior performance and cost savings

CHANHASSEN, MINN (October 6, 2003) - Emerson Process Management introduces the Rosemount® 951 Dry Gas Differential Pressure transmitter that delivers superior performance and cost savings for dry gas applications. The transmitter's superior reliability improves uptime and reduces maintenance costs, best-in-class accuracy and stability reduces operating costs, and rangeability lowers inventory costs.

The new 951 is a compact pressure transmitter designed for use in applications that require ultra low differential pressure measurement, such as the control and monitoring of differential clean room pressures and airflow measurements in HVAC systems. The 951 is the first dry gas transmitter to feature a 4-20mA / HART output, enabling customers to calibrate, re-range and configure in the field. The 951 allows an unprecedented 40:1 turndown, and features three mounting configurations to minimize inventory and maximize flexibility.

The best-in-class performance of the 951 can reduce operating costs by allowing customers to more efficiently control their HVAC system, thereby maintaining the same level of airflow and clean room pressure by running the HVAC system less frequently. The 951 also provides unparalleled stability of 0.125% of URL per year to extend calibration cycles and reduce maintenance costs.
