GP:50 NY Ltd Introduces Compact, Lightweight, Flight Qualified Pressure Transducer for UAVs, Launch Vehicles and Commercial Aviation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Grand Island, New York, USA – GP:50 NY LTD (www.gp50.com) (GP:50), an ISO9000:2008 certified designer and manufacturer of accurate and reliable static pressure sensing instrumentation, today introduced its Model 7202 flight qualified pressure transducer.

Design of the Model 7202 incorporates more than 25 years of GP:50 field-proven pedigree within military, aerospace and defense applications. This expertise extends to all four branches of the United States military, as well as NASA, fulfilling both test and program requirements, with both COTS and custom designs. Much of the success of GP:50 within this sector is attributable not only to its engineering ingenuity, but also the company’s capability to design, develop and manufacture custom designs in shorter lead times than can be found with many  other industry off-the-shelf solutions.

The GP:50 Model 7202 effectively measures static pressures from 0 to 15K PSIA (0 to 1034 BAR) with ±0.30% FSO accuracy. Improved accuracy to ±0.05% FSO is optional. A 0.1 to 5.1 Vdc output is standard, with other formats available upon request. Units incorporate stainless steel housings and 15-5 wetted parts. Inconel or Hastelloy material may be also optionally customer-specified for wider transducer media compatibility. The Model 7202 is also offered with an improved optional compensated temperature range from -65 °F to +250 °F, as well as an optional integral RTD temperature output. This flight qualified pressure transducer is compact and lightweight, measuring just 1.5 inches (38.09 mm) in length and weighing less than 5 ounces (141.7 grams). Its overall design meets both MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461, as well as J-001/NASA 8739.3 soldering workmanship standards.

The exceptional design and performance characteristics of the GP:50 Model 7202 make it suitable for unmanned aerial vehicles and ground vehicles; aerospace launch vehicles; commercial and military aircraft testing; ground support systems; and other aerospace requirements.
