Pressure Switches have safe working pressures to 10,000 psi

Press Release Summary:

Pressure Switches measure differential pressure, flow rate, and liquid level. They have safe working pressures to 10,000 psi with absolute, zero-center, and split ranges. Units are 6 in. in diameter. Switch indicator is actuated by rupture-proof bellows differential pressure unit with integral temperature compensation. Single bellows units suit low-pressure air or gas applications with DP of 1 psid max, and max DP ranges from 0-4 to 0-10 in. wc.

Original Press Release:

Barton's DP Switches are Available in a Wide Variety of Safe Working Pressures and Differential Pressure Ranges

City of Industry, CA (Nov. 25, 2002) -- Barton offers a family of pressure switches with safe working pressures (SWPs) up to 10,000 psi (689 bar) and a wide selection of DP ranges including absolute, zero-center and split ranges. Widely used in applications that require the measurement of differential pressure, flow rate and liquid level, they provide a typical accuracy of ±1% of full scale, a narrow deadband, and 0.25% of full-scale repeatability of switch action at setpoint. Switches are 6" in diameter and NEMA 4/IP65 rated. Explosion-proof housings are rated for use in Class I, Div. 1, Groups B, C and D areas, are available as an option on selected models. Pulsation dampening is offered on some models. The switch indicator is actuated by a rupture-proof bellows differential pressure unit (DPU) with integral temperature compensation. Single bellows units are designed for low-pressure air or gas applications (100 psi SWP), a DP of 1 psid max., and max. DP ranges from 0-4" w.c. to 0-10" w.c. max. Switches with dual, liquid-filled bellows are designed to withstand repeated over-ranging equal to the SWP of the housing without a change in calibration, i.e., up to 10,000 psi. Barton switches are available in configurations with one to four adjustable snap-action type SPDT switches; DPDT and hermetically sealed switches are offered on selected models. Some models can be ordered with one or two DPDT relays mounted inside the case. Relays allow for greater flexibility of switching action and increased current handling capacity without external mounting or wiring -- important in applications that require explosion-proof housings. Also available are 4-1/2" diameter switches that meet MIL specs for shock grade A and vibration standards for U.S. Navy shipboard applications. Complete product specifications are included in a brochure that is available on Barton's website at www.barton-instruments.com. For more information, e-mail: info@barton-instruments.com.
