New Pressure Sensors For Sanitary Applications Feature Scaleable Analog Output
EXTON, PA. ifm efector introduces a new family of sanitary sensors to monitor pressure in food, beverage, dairy, and pharmaceutical applications. These sensors meet 3A, FDA, and EHEDG requirements and carry an IP67 rating. The sensors' housings are 316 stainless steel and feature a universal, patented thread style that will accept a variety of sanitary fittings, including the popular 1-1/2" and 2" Tri-Clamp fitting.
The PL2 and PM2 pressure sensors are two-wire transmitters with a scaleable 4-20mA or 0-l0V analog output. The transmitter output is accurate to 0.6% of range with a repeatability of 0.1 %. Models are available with ranges from 100" H2O to 362 psi. PL2 Series pressure sensors are rated for media temperatures up to 176degF and have a list price of $280.00 US. PM2 Series pressure sensors are rated for media temperatures up to 293°F and have a list price of $360.00 US.
The PF2 and P12 pressure sensors provide a scaleable 4-20mA or 0-l0V analog output and a switched output for local control. The sensors feature a highly visible 3-digit LED display for local indication of system pressure and can be programmed to display in units of "H2O, psi, bar, or MPa.
