Pressure Sensor offers 2 mounting options.

Press Release Summary:

With features that simplify between-run inspections and protect wiring, 6155AE cavity pressure sensor may be mounted by adapter on baseplate to permit separation of mold insert without disassembly of sensor. Alignment guide holes permit precise positioning. Secondary approach for alternate mold configurations makes use of sleeve to retain sensor. Sensor uses single conductor wire that maybe dressed and routed into mold.

Novel Pressure Sensor Mounting Cuts Inspection Time

Cavity pressure sensors from Kistler Instrument have mold mounting features that simplify between-run inspections and protect sensor wiring. Two mounting approaches enable a speedy inspection procedure. The 6155AE pressure sensor may be mounted by an adapter on the baseplate to permit separation of the mold insert without disassembly of the sensor. Alignmet guide holes permit perfect positioning once the inspection is complete. A second approach for alternate mold configurations makes use of a sleeve to retain the sensor and eliminates complete disassembly.

Wiring vulnerability is especially high in complex molds where many cooling holes are required. This sensor uses single conductor wire that maybe dressed and routed into the mold as apposed to exposed conventional coaxial cable that requires re-soldering when damage is evident. Repair to single conductor wiring is simplified by cutting a replacement length and slipping the wire into a grip connector.
