TMP Introduces High Pressure, Ultra Low Deflection Press For CCL Applications

Technical Machine Products, a manufacturer of presses and auxiliary equipment for the PCB market, has recently introduced a high-performance press for CCL (copper-clad laminate) applications utilizing PTFE.

This vacuum system is 59" x 88", with five openings and six, 19" rams. It provides high pressure operation at 2100 tons for use in aerospace and other demanding CCL applications.

This unique system was designed to permit no more than .0004" deflection over a four foot span (.0001" per foot), with parallelism of .0007" per foot.

The TMP press is heated with oil for uniformity of heat and offers temperature control of plus or minus 5 degrees at 750 degree F normal operating temperature. It can be operated at lower temperatures based on production needs.

PLC controls are fully programmable and provide all process functions, including full system diagnostics.

The system is also fully automated with automatic loading and unloading carts.
