Press Automation Control System-Rockford Systems, Rockford, IL, introduced its SSC-3000 press automation control system for part-revolution-clutch mechanical power presses. This resolver-based, rack-mounted control system has numerous expandable options. The main CPU provides 12 user inputs, brake monitoring, 100-job memory, counters, and user-defined fault messages.
The SSC-3000 control uses a touchscreen/display for operator interface and is expandable to include clutch/brake control (with light curtain interface and 11 different modes of operation), up to 16 PLS (programmable limit switch) outputs, up to 24 die protection inputs, up to 8 zones of load monitoring, single-ram or dual-ram shut height control, air monitoring, servo feed interface, and networking.
This control system complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.217, ANSI B11.1, and ANSI B11.19.
