Prescolite Unveils New T6 Metal Halide Commercial Downlighting Series

A new line of 6" and 8" aperture Metal Halide fixtures, designed to address
maintenance accessibility and light output usually associated with high ceiling applications, is
the latest addition to Architektur, Prescolite's family of premium specification grade recessed
downlighting.
Employing vertical T6 metal halide lamp technology, these new downlights provide
ideal lighting solutions for a wide variety of commercial and institutional applications where
access for lamp replacement is usually difficult.
As a result, the T6 metal halide downlight introduction is a win-win for specifiers and
end users alike. The specifier now has a choice of fixtures meant for high ceiling installation
that may be ordered in a range of beam spreads - spot, 10°, medium, 25° , or flood, 40°
distributions - factory-installed into a fixed housing, eliminating any need for the contractor to
adjust the socket position in the field. In addition, Prescolite's patented Virtual Source® optics
have been integrated in all three of the T6 distribution choices for precise cut off and glare
control.
The T6 ceramic Metal Halide lamp assures superior color rendering, color stability, and
energy efficiency throughout the lamp's rated life of 12,000 hours. Prescolite's new T6 downlights offer a full range of reflector options. Reflectors are offered in all standard finishes
including specular, American Matte, semi-specular and haze. They may also be ordered in a
full range of colors including clear, champagne gold, pewter, wheat, and black, or painted
white and black.
