Precision Locknuts suit linear motion applications.

Press Release Summary:

Manufactured from AISI 4140 steel and heat treated to 28-32 HRC, locknuts prevent locking and loosening within part by brass radial inserts or by axially shifting portion of threads. Produced with ground or machined threads with tolerance class of ISO 4H, they are designed to provide adjustment, preload, and secure bearings or machine components to shafts and other rotating machine elements. Radial, axial, and locking versions cover 6-200 mm bore diameters.

Nook Industries Introduces Precision Locknuts

Nook Precision Locknuts Provide Locking and Loosening Prevention without additional Components, Keys or Extra Machining

Nook Industries, a leading manufacturer of linear motion control systems and components, announces the availability of Nook Precision Locknuts for high load linear motion applications.

The introduction of Nook Precision Locknuts expands Nook Industries ability to deliver a complete package for applications with higher loads than a standard EZZE-Mount end bearing can support. Nook Precision Locknuts are designed to provide adjustment, preload and secure bearings or machine components to shafts and other rotating machine elements.

"Nook Precision Locknuts prevent locking and loosening within the part, by brass radial inserts or axially shifting a portion of the threads," says Fausto Mariazzi, Director of Engineering for Nook Industries. "They also allow accurate setting of preload on bearings and are capable of supporting axial loads with high rigidity without loosening."

Nook Precision Locknuts are manufactured from AISI 4140 steel, heat treated to 28-32 HRC and have either ground threads or machined threads with a tolerance class of ISO 4H. Every Nook Precision Locknut is manufactured with very low axial run-out for accurate assembly and uniform loading of bearings and other components. Five Precision Locknut Series, including Radial, Axial and 300 Locking designs, covering 6 to 200mm bore diameters are available.
