Milwaukee, WI - HellermannTyton (www.hellermann.tyton.com), a global manufacturer of cable management and identification solutions that assist in the construction and maintenance of wire and cable systems, introduces a complete line of pre-printed, regulatory solar identification labels for use on small or large scale photovoltaic installations.
Designed to meet the current National Electrical Code (NEC) and International Fire Code (IFC) requirements for durability, color, text height and visibility, HellermannTyton's solar installation labels are manufactured based on the parameters outlined in Section 690 of the NEC, for Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, using ultraviolet (UV) resistant ink, permanent acrylic adhesive, and a base material intended to endure harsh environmental elements. An optional hand-applied acrylic laminate is available to provide additional long-term protection to variable printed text. The adhesives are expressly intended to offer performance on both enamel baked paints and powder coats found on most breaker boxes and panels.
HellermannTyton's pre-printed solar identification label line includes: pre-printed reflective, rating (including AC and DC voltage and disconnect), continuous vinyl, and a reflective rooftop label. Reflective labels can be applied to the Main Service disconnect, DC conduit, raceways, enclosures, and junction boxes so that emergency responders are able to isolate the solar electric system. Rating labels can be printed with variable information using a thermal transfer printer. The continuous label stock, provided on rolls, also is an option for printing and cutting markers on demand using a HellermannTyton printer with attached cutter. The HellermannTyton rooftop label is an aluminum and vinyl label designed for use on almost any type of rooftop shingle.
