Miller's SRH-503 Is The Largest, Most Durable Stick Welding, Gouging Unit

o Withstands harsh environments
o Single hand crank controls amperage

APPLETON, Wis., Oct. 8, 2002 - Designed specifically for the Latin American market but now attracting attention in North America, the SRH-503 is a new Stick welding power source from Miller Electric Mfg. Co. Designed for both light and heavy fabrication, manufacturing, pipe and ship building applications, the SRH-503 offers an output of 50 to 525 amps (500 amps at 60 percent duty cycle) and a maximum open circuit voltage of 77 VDC. It is Miller's most easy to use, most powerful and durable machine for Stick welding and gouging with carbons up to 3/8-in. diameter.

A single hand crank on the front of the machine controls amperage. This simple mechanical control eliminates the need for circuit boards and improves reliability and durability. The SRH-503 features infinite amperage control, allowing the operator to adjust weld output and produce a better weld. Single amperage range gives the operator a larger window of operation and makes it easier to fine tune.

"With this machine, you can run a large variety of electrode sizes and still get superior arc-welding performance," said Jeff Hietpas, product manager, Miller Electric. "Miller designed the SRH-503 to withstand the harsher environments found in equatorial and U.S. coastal regions. We've simplified the controls to provide a cost-effective Stick machine that anyone can operate and that will weld for decades."

The SRH-503 comes standard with a built-in running gear for added mobility around the shop or job site.
