Power Supplies suit single-phase 120/230 V power systems.

Press Release Summary:

Sitop smart closed-loop-controlled, 24 V power supplies come in 2.5, 5, and 10 A power classes and are 32.5, 50, and 79 mm wide. At ambient temperatures up to 45°C, units can continuously supply 120% of rated power. If necessary, output voltage can be increased to 28 V by adjusting potentiometer on front. Unit rated 2.5 A can be used universally, whereas 5 and 10 A units are each available in models for residential and non-residential buildings.

Original Press Release:

Compact 24 Volt Series for Industrial, Residential and Non-Residential Buildings

Sitop smart, the new range of power supply units from Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) for single-phase 120/230-volt power systems in industrial, residential and non-residential buildings, has an especially compact design. The closed-loop-controlled 24 volt power supply units in the 2,5, 5 and 10 ampere power classes are around one third narrower than their predecessor and are 32.5, 50 and 79 millimeters wide. The overload behavior has also been improved considerably so that even high loads such as DC/DC transformers and motors can be switched on without problem. At ambient temperatures up to 45 °C, the new power supply units can continuously supply 120 per cent of rated power. If necessary, the output voltage can be increased to 28 volts, whereby the potentiometer can be adjusted comfortably from the front.

The 2,5 A power supply unit can be used universally, whereas the 5 and 10 A units are each available in two different versions: for residential and non-residential buildings, there is a variant with RFC (Power Factor Correction), which complies with the legal requirements for connection to public grids.

All new power supply units have been extensively certified, for example UL and cUL certification for the North American market, as well as GL (German Lloyd) certification for use in shipbuilding. They also comply with the Atex directives for applications in areas where there is a danger of explosion. The Sitop can be expanded with direct-current UPS and storage modules to provide an uninterruptible power supply. In order to protect individual 24 V paths, the new power supply units are supplemented with the Sitop select diagnostic modules.
