Power Resistors are RoHS compliant and lead free.

Press Release Summary:

LC series SIP resistors are available with 4 to 13 pins and circuit types of bussed and isolated resistors in low profile SIP package. They offer power rating of 0.125 W per element, resistance values from 30-100 K, tolerances of 1 and 2%, and TCR of 100 ppm. Units are used in pull-up or pull-down resistor logic, bus terminations, and current limiters for LED strings, as well as for applications that require high wattage resistor when small board space is available.

Stackpole Announces RoHS Compliant Upgrade of the LC Series

RALEIGH, NC (February 25, 2008) - Stackpole Electronics, Inc. a global leader in the manufacture of resistor products has announced an update to its lead free / RoHS compliant resistor offering. With this upgrade, SEI continues to uphold its commitment to provide superior products to the resistor industry. The SIP resistor network series is available with 4 to 13 pins and circuit types of bussed and isolated resistors in a low profile SIP package. The LC series is available in a power rating of 0.125W per element, in resistance values from 30 to 100K, in tolerances of 1% and 2%, and a TCR of 100PPM

This series is now compatible with the high temperature soldering process that's associated with RoHS compliant manufacturing. This improvement applies to all manufactured products after 08/06 (YY/WW). The new product designation of "LCF" will guarantee a RoHS compliant product. While LC products manufactured after 08/06 will also be RoHS compliant; there may still be non-RoHS products in stock available from SEI or distributor stock.

SIP resistor networks are commonly used in pull-up or pull-down resistor logic, bus terminations, and current limiters for LED strings. They are also useful for applications that require a higher wattage resistor when smaller board space is available. The standing design of a SIP enables board designers to populate boards more densely while reliably providing an efficient way of keeping the heat dissipation off of the PCB.

The LC series is available in bulk packaging in quantities of 1000 pieces. Typical pricing varies by pin count, schematic, and volume but ranges from $34 per thousand for LC41 to $95 per thousand for LC22.
