Advanced Power Technology Announces Hermetic COOLMOS ® Power MOSFETs for Military/Aerospace
Bend OR... Advanced Power Technology (NASDAQ: APTI) is pleased to announce a new product line. COOLMOS® Power MOSFETs are now available in hermetic packages for use in Military and Aerospace applications and harsh environments where added protection is required. The COOLMOS® Power MOSFETs have a specific on-resistance significantly lower than conventional MOSFETs and thus allow for a smaller chip for the same total on-resistance. In addition, the COOLMOS® MOSFET maintains many of the traditional advantages of the conventional MOSFET such as simple drive requirements, fast switching capability, and ruggedness. In some applications the COOLMOS® MOSFET can provide a lower cost solution than a comparable conventional MOSFET. When combined with hermetic packaging these devices offer unique design solutions to military and aerospace systems. MIL-PRF-19500 screening is available. APT will be offering both 600V and 800V COOLMOS® Power MOSFETs in TO-257, TO-254, and TO-258 hermetic packages. Data sheets describing the features and benefits are available to assist the designer.
