New Power Management Software from Schneider Electric Gives Customers More Information at a Glance

PALATINE, Ill. - December 30, 2003 - The new V3.3.2.3 version of Schneider Electric's PowerLogic® System Manager Software (SMS) - the most powerful power management software in the industry - offers customers more usable and intuitive information at a glance.

"This latest version of SMS offers a wide range of tabular reports designed to provide even more information that customers can act on at a glance, without poring through mountains of raw data," said Karl Kersey, senior product specialist for Schneider Electric's Power Management Operations.

New power quality index readings let users know if their power quality is getting better or worse, either system-wide or on a single piece of equipment, based on historical data. "Being able to see this kind of information on one screen lets users react quickly to potential problems so they can fix them, then concentrate on other aspects of their job," Kersey said.

The new standard table reports in V3.3.2.3 software include power quality index readings, alarm summary readings, alarm trend readings, interval energy readings, and monthly and yearly summaries of overall power quality for multiple meters.

In addition to the new tabular reports, SMS includes support for the PowerLogic Power Meter 800 input/output capabilities. This new feature provides I/O configuration for the PM8M2222, PM8M26 and the PM8M22. SMS also supports the PowerLogic Multi-Circuit Monitor, allowing it to generate electrical cost summary reports.
