Power Distribution Modules help avoid system downtime.

Press Release Summary:

HPD Series converts one low-voltage power supply input into 4 or 8 individually fused or PTC protected outputs. Devices connected to modules work off separate circuits. Fused models HPD4 and HPD8 feature protected outputs that have individual fuses rated at 3.0 A each and main fuse rated at 5.0 A. Modules that are PTC protected - HPD4CB and HPD8CB - feature protected outputs with individual auto-resettable PTCs rated 2.5 A each.

Honeywell Power Products Announces New Line of Power Distribution Modules

NORTHFORD, Conn. - Honeywell Power Products (HPP), a provider of power supplies and related accessories for the fire, video, access control, and intrusion segments, announces its new line of Power Distribution Modules.

The HPD Series of power distribution modules convert one low voltage power supply input into four or eight individually fused or PTC protected outputs.

Devices connected to these modules work off separate circuits, so the whole system is not brought down if one circuit encounters a problem. The Power Distribution Modules have a wide range of applications for access control, intrusion, and video systems that require individually protected output circuits.

The Power Distribution Modules fused models, HPD4 and HPD8, feature four or eight protected outputs that have individual fuses rated at 3.0A each, whereas the main fuse is rated at 5.0A. Modules that are PTC protected, HPD4CB and HPD8CB, feature four or eight protected outputs that have individual auto-resettable PTC's rated 2.5A each. With the PTC versions, no fuse replacement is required. To restore circuit operation, just disconnect power, wait about five minutes and reconnect. All the modules feature transient protection, a power LED indicator, and LED indicators for each output to indicate an activated circuit protector. In addition, the modules have a power disconnect switch and can be easily mounted with the supplied foam-backed tape. Furthermore, the design of the power distribution modules allows the user to add additional fuses for extra power.
