Power Conditioners come in models ranging from 120-3,000 VA.

Press Release Summary:

ONEAC® PCm Series eliminates power contaminants and limits peak voltage and edge-speed of electrical transients by employing low impedance isolation transformer and Virtual Kelvin Ground® to remove full spectrum of power line noise in Common and Normal modes. Conforming to IEC60601-1 standards, medical grade power conditioners come with hospital-grade plugs and receptacles and in 120 and 230 V, 50/60 Hz with IEC connectors to facilitate country-specific connector compatibility.

Chloride Power Conditioners Assure More Reliable Medical Equipment Performance

LIBERTYVILLE, IL, August 6, 2008 - Power fluctuations and electrical transients hinder the availability of electronic-based medical systems. Chloride, a global leader and provider of secure power solutions, now offers its ONEAC® brand PCm medical grade power conditioners to help combat this problem that threatens to damage critical diagnostic machines, imaging systems, analyzers and other patient contact equipment.

"PCm power conditioners ensure more reliable medical equipment performance by isolating medical equipment from the outside electrical sources they connect to," explained Yolanda Hernandez, Director of Marketing, Chloride North America. "This greatly reduces their susceptibility to disruption, degradation and destruction caused by poor power quality."

Available in models ranging from 120 VA to 3000 VA, PCm Series medical grade power conditioners eliminate power contaminants by employing a full-time, on-line isolating transformer, while conforming to the global electrical safety standards for medical equipment - IEC60601-1 and its derivatives for Europe (EN60601), U.S. (UL60601-1/UL2601) and Canada (CSA C22.2 No. 601.1).

Unlike surge suppression devices, PCm Series medical grade power conditioners limit peak voltage (amplitude) and edge-speed (frequency) of electrical transients by employing a low impedance isolation transformer and Virtual Kelvin Ground® to remove the full spectrum of power line noise in both Common and Normal modes. This technology converts a noisy safety ground to a noise-free signal ground and provides a separately derived power source that limits earth leakage current to less than 100 microamps that is well below the IEC60601-1 specification of 300 microamps.

PCm Series medical grade power conditioners are immediately available from Chloride distributors with hospital-grade plugs and receptacles and in 120 V and 230 V, 50/60 Hz with IEC connectors to facilitate country-specific connector compatibility.
