ELYRIA, OHIO - January 2006 - The new NaviTrack(TM) Brick (Cat. No. 20168) five-watt transmitter, from Ridge Tool Company, is lightweight, compact and powerful for users wanting additional portability while locating metallic lines.

The NaviTrack Brick is designed to be used in conjunction with the RIDGID® NaviTrack II(TM) or the NaviTrack Scout(TM) line locators, which locate trace wires, metallic water lines, phone lines, cable TV lines and other metallic lines. The NaviTrack Brick transmitter has a fully adjustable power output, transmits at up to five watts of power and has four frequencies - 1, 8, 33 and 262 kHz.

Compact and rugged, the NaviTrack Brick is small enough to be stored in a NaviTrack II or NaviTrack Scout case and is water-resistant. The NaviTrack Brick's portability is enhanced by weighing only 2.5 lbs. (with six alkaline or rechargeable C-Cell batteries) and is compact at only 4.7 inches by 7.75 inches by 3 inches. A shoulder strap also gives users more portability and convenience.

The CE-rated NaviTrack Brick transmits a signal on metallic lines in one of three ways: directly connecting to the target line using the two 10' long cables and a grounding rod, inducing using the inductive signal clamp accessory or inducing using the transmitter itself.

"The NaviTrack Brick is ideal for users who need a lightweight transmitter for maximum portability but also want a transmitter that is rugged and powerful," said Mark Fleming, product manager, Ridge Tool Company.
