The XE Series is not a "ruggedized" standard laptop, but a truly hardened and sealed tablet computer for use in the harshest of situations where 100% reliability is a must. The XE Series features a durable titanium faceplate around a high visibility 12" color touch screen with onscreen keyboard that requires no stylus for data input. The cast aluminum case houses a 933Mhz processor based system utilizing a Windows XP Pro operating system that may be updated or custom software configured to meet any application demand. Though designed for stand-alone operation, the XE Series offers 2 USB ports for interface with a wide variety of external peripherals, including keyboard, hand scanners, video devices, and any USB-based device. Other features include audio I/O jacks, CD/DVD drive, and up to 7 hours of operation without recharging.
