New Line of Open Portable Shelf Trucks for Stock Picking and Replenishment Introduced by Durham
A series of open portable shelf trucks to be marketed under the Hodge brand is the latest addition to its expanding line of non-powered material handling equipment offered by The Durham Manufacturing Company, Durham, CT 06422. The new trucks are designed specifically for stock picking and replenishment in warehouses, retail operations and factories.
Basic design of the trucks consists of four fixed 14 gauge steel shelves, with 14 inch clearance between them, mounted within a 3 sided frame of 1 inch diameter tubing and ½ inch diameter steel rods. The top two shelves are slanted, 1 inch front to rear, to permit secure placement of goods without the danger of slippage during movement. The third shelf is level and the bottom shelf is mounted on four 6 inch by 2 inch phenolic, bolt-on swivel casters for easy maneuverability in narrow aisles and around tight corners.
Eight different models are in the series ranging in size from 36 inches wide by 24 inches deep to 72 inches wide and 36 inches deep. Height of all models is 61 inches. Weight capacity is 2000 lbs. Finish is durable gray powder coat. Shipment is made in fully assembled condition, ready for use.
