Magnalight Announces Release of Industrial Grade Mid-Size Quad-Pod Light Tower

Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com has announced the release a durably designed metal halide light tower built to provide operators with a portable mid-sized tower lighting solution with large scale illuminating capability. Designed with dual metal halide light heads and a wheeled quad-pod constructed of powder coated steel, the WAL-C-2XM portable light tower provides operators with enough power to illuminate over 90,000 square feet of work area, yet is small enough to be easily broken down and transported by a single operator.

The WAL-C-2XM portable light tower from Magnalight.com provides brilliant illumination in a portable tower package that has the power and illuminating capability of larger and heavier units. This industrial grade light tower is mounted to a four leg quad-pod constructed of powder coated steel for durability and stable deployment. The tower on this unit is adjustable from 7 to 14 feet in height and is raised and lowered using an included hand crank cable winch that is equipped with a brake for fast and safe extension to the desired height. The base of this light tower is equipped with two solid wheels, which allows operators to simply tilt the entire unit back and roll it from one location to another in the work area. The light assembly on this tower is removable and consists of two 1,000 watt metal halide lamps that can be adjusted vertically and horizontally independently of each other for maximum coverage of the work space. Control for the lights is provided by an included control box which houses the light ballasts and is equipped with line circuit protection, an integral on/off switch and built in power indicator. This light tower system is designed to operate with 120 VAC standard power, and Magnalight also offers 220 VAC versions for use with higher voltage power sources as well. Included with this unit is 25 feet of abrasion and chemical resistant SOOW cord fitted with a standard heavy duty straight blade plug for simple connection to most standard power outlets. This entire unit can be broken down, the legs collapsed and folded and then easily transported in a pickup truck, making it an ideal lighting solution for operators who need powerful illumination that can be quickly and easily deployed without involved setup procedures. This light tower produces 220,000 lumens of bright white light and will effectively illuminate 98,000 square feet of work space. Combined with the portability of this tower, the high output and standard voltage capability makes this an ideal large work area light that can be transported and deployed by one person with minimal effort.

"Durable and portable, the newly re-designed WAL-C-2XM, 4-legged metal halide light tower bridges a gap as a mid-sized light tower for operators that have available power and don't need a trailer or generator," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com. "Operators will find this mid-sized light tower stable when deployed, but very easy to maneuver into position with its 10 inch wheels. Most importantly, the unit breaks down into a convenient, portable package that can be carried in a standard pickup from one jobsite to another.
