MILWAUKEE - (March 7, 2005) - The IDXPERT(TM) Handheld Labeler from Brady Corporation was developed for professionals who need to have the toughest materials and the perfect type of labels readily available in order to effectively perform their jobs. It is portable and durable, allowing users to label in the field, in the plant, virtually anywhere. The IDXPERT combines the die-cut labeling applications needed by electrical and voice/data users with the high visibility continuous tapes needed by facility and safety users into one simple, easy-to-use and affordable printer.
Available in two convenient keyboard layouts - ABC and the standard QWERTY keyboard-style layouts - the IDXPERT offers users more than 100 labeling options including over 80 industrial commercial symbols and bar coding capabilities. In addition to indoor/outdoor grade materials ideal for marking pipes, shelving and equipment, IDXPERT also offers wire markers, terminal block markers, patch panel markers and other general-purpose die-cut labels.
All IDXPERT label materials are contained in a Drop, Lock and Go Smart Cartridge, so that users can quickly and easily switch labeling jobs. The cartridges are pre-calibrated electronically to orient the label to specific applications. The IDXPERT prints characters up to 1.25" on label stock up to 1.5" wide. It can also provide print as small as 7-point text on any labeling job.
The IDXPERT prints clean and fast with crisp, non-smearing thermal transfer quality printing and expanded text-editing capabilities. The printer features edge-to-edge printing on continuous tapes as well as pre-cut labels to eliminate waste. And, the memory stores frequently used label set-ups for quick retrieval.
Both IDXPERT keyboard styles are hand-held units and run on 6 AA-batteries or optional AC plug-in. The unit ships with 1.5" x 30 ft. white supply cartridge, hard case, PC cable for upgrades, and product CD containing User's Guides and Tutorials.
