Legrand Introduces New Portable GFCIs
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Legrand, a leading provider of electrical wiring devices and home systems, has announced the availability of their line of new Pass & Seymour® Portable GFCIs.
The new line is comprised of five models: Right-Angle Plug GFCI, In-Line Portable GFCI, Cord Set GFCI, Adapter Plug GFCI and the Box Unit GFCI. All models meet the latest requirements of the UL GFCI standard, NEC®, and OSHA 1926.404 standards and are available in either 15A or 20A models.
“Our new line of innovative Portable GFCIs helps increase safety and reduces risk for contractors and facility managers by interrupting power in the event of a ground fault. This prevents injury from an electrical shock,” said Bill Timmons, marketing manager of residential products for Legrand Electrical Wiring Systems.
Pass & Seymour Portable GFCIs have a rugged polycarbonate housing that is able to stand up to impact and extensive usage and provide the necessary protection in a wide-range of applications. These include power tools, high-pressure power washers, wet vacuums and grounds-keeping equipment, spas and hot tubs, vending machines and portable signs, amongst others. Both automatic and manual reset models are available.
Due to their water-resistant design the In-Line, Cord Set, Right Angle, and Box GFCIs are rated for outdoor use.
Pass & Seymour invented the first GFCI Receptacle in 1971.
