World Premier: Electrodeless Compact Lamp Delivering High Power UV

GAITHERSBURG, MD, November 10, 2003 - Fusion UV Systems announces the launch of PowerCure® 1, at 1" (25mm), it is the smallest lamp system delivering high power UV incorporating all the traditional features of Fusion UV's electrodeless lamp technology.

Lightweight, compact and highly versatile, the PowerCure 1 can be used in a wide variety of environments, from lab to production, from inkjet to industrial, and it provides many performance features previously found only in larger electrodeless lamp systems.

Ideally suited to high-tech micro-assembly applications where products are becoming ever smaller, such as electronics and medical devices, or for applications requiring the automation of concentrated curing in several localized spots, the PowerCure 1 is easy to install in terms of space, weight and orientation. An integrated cooling system enables the lamp head to operate without an external blower, making it highly portable. The compact power supply can be placed at any convenient location and connects to the lamp module by easy-to-install cables.

As with all Fusion UV products, the benefits of microwave technology allow the PowerCure 1 to provide a much higher degree of output consistency and reliability than alternative arc lamps. The absence of electrodes in Fusion UV's bulbs maximizes both UV output and spectral consistency over time, ensuring that this innovative lamp system is more reliable than other competitive systems for curing small areas.

The new PowerCure 1 was formally introduced November 3rd in Fusion UV's exhibition stand at RadTech Europe 2003, Berlin Germany.
