Windsor, Conn. - October 24, 2003. Scapa North America has introduced Scapa 554, a polyimide film formulated for high temperature masking and electrical insulation of high temperature coils, motors, and transformers meeting class H requirements.

Single coated with a high performance silicone pressure sensitive adhesive, Scapa 554 conforms to irregular surfaces and removes cleanly without adhesive residue after exposure to heat and chemicals. With an operating temperature range up to 600°F, Scapa 554 is flame retardant and resistant to chemical attack. The film's high strength backing provides superior puncture, tear and abrasion resistance.
