Overview

If you think SurePOS(TM) 700 is flexible now, you will love the new addition to SurePorts! IBM is introducing another option for the selectable point-of-sale (POS) ports. Now you not only have a choice of USB or RS485, you can also select RS232. With options for powered USB, powered RS485, and powered RS232, the SurePOS 700 can attach virtually any existing peripherals, making the SurePOS 700 a solid investment that works with your current hardware to provide ultimate investment protection.

Your powered SurePorts options include:

· USB
· RS485 mix
· RS232 mix

Key prerequisites

If the initial SurePorts plant selection is RS485, the MES upgrade to USB must be feature number 1989, SAP part number 23K8481. This MES kit will provide 2x cash drawer ports, 1x 24V USB port, and 7x 12V USB ports.

If the initial SurePorts plant selection is RS232, the MES upgrade to USB must be feature number 1994, SAP part number 21R7519. This MES kit will provide 5x 12V USB 2.0 ports to be used with the existing row of ports that provides 1x cash drawer port, 1x 24V USB 2.0 port, 2x 12V USB 2.0 ports, and one powered RS232 12V or 5V port.

To complement the RS232 mix SurePorts, or any of our SurePorts selections, we will also offer an optional power cable that can be used with a 24V RS232 SureMark(TM) printer instead of a power brick. This cable will provide power from the 24V USB port.
