POL Converters Suited for DPA Applications



V-Infinity introduces a new series of industry standard point of load dc-dc converters intended for a range of distributed power architecture applications including mobile communications and computing. Available in 5, 15, and 16 A versions, the non-isolated VPOL series offers efficiencies of up to 94%, while operating within a temperature range of -40 to 85 °C. The low profile SIP and SMT units are compact, measuring 22.9 x 13.76 x 5.6mm in the 5 A SIP models and 20.3 x 11.43 x 6.1mm in the 5 A SMT version.

The VPOL series accepts an input of 5 V or 12 V with output voltages ranging from 0.75 to 5.0 V. Trimmable output voltage is available via an external resistor. Features include remote on/off, continuous short circuit protection, output over current protection, and over temperature protection. All VPOL units are UL certified. OEM pricing starts at $10.00 per unit.
