Pneumatic Valve Systems offer high flow for automation industry.

Press Release Summary:

Models HF 04 and LP 04 are actuated by double pilots and available in 2x 3/2, 5/2, and 5/3 versions. Model HF 04 suits limited space, high flow applications. Aluminum end pieces and electrical connections make system insensitive to vibrations and temperature fluctuations. Number of valves can be from 2-12 and power is connected using multiple plugs or field bus. Model LP 04 can consist of 4-16 valves and integrates field bus functions in sub-base.

Compact Pneumatic Valve Systems With High Flow

With the HF 04 and LP 04, Rexroth offers two newly developed pneumatic valve terminal systems. Small in size but with high flow, they are both suitable for use in the automation industry.

The valves are compact without compromising on flow and the power consumption is low. They are actuated by double pilots and available in versions 2x3/2, 5/2 and 5/3. Both systems are based on the same valve, but the sub-bases are designed to meet different requirements.

HF 04, which is the smallest member of the HF family, is ideal for applications where high flow is required and space is limited. Industries in which the HF 04 would be useful include automation, general mechanics, paper manufacturing and printing. Simple extension and valve replacement without the need for disassembling the unit provide easy handling. Due to the proven manifold design, which uses aluminum end pieces and reliable electrical connections, the valve system is insensitive to vibrations and temperature fluctuations. The number of valves can be from two to twelve (2 to 24 coils) and the power is connected using either multiple plugs (D-sub) or a field bus.

As compared with the HF 04, the LP 04 is designed with another subplate to reduce the size, especially the height. Our designers have managed to do this by integrating the field bus functions in the sub-base. Therefore, the size of the valve system with a field bus connection is the same as with a D-sub connection. One system can consist of four to sixteen valves. Suitable applications include small handling, vacuum and process control in the semiconductor and electronic industries.

HF 04 and LP 04 will be available by the third quarter of 2003.
