Parker Integrated Pneumatic Fittings Simplify Motion Control
Parker Integrated Pneumatic Fittings provide a simple way to regulate airflow and control the position of a cylinder piston rod to achieve motion control. This can eliminate the need for complex electro-pneumatic interface circuitry in a wide range of repetitive motion applications where highly accurate positioning isn't necessary. The fittings offered include Parker Blocking fittings, Parker Slow Start fittings, and Parker Flow Control Regulators. All fittings are available with a range of connector configurations including Prestolok II tube ends and NPT pipe thread ends.
The Parker Blocking Fitting mounts on the air cylinder port and uses an independent pilot air signal to block the movement of the piston rod at selected positions by trapping air in the cylinder. The fitting also can be used to reduce the chance of abrupt cylinder exhaust in the event of a power failure. The Parker Slow Start Fitting controls the speed at which cylinders recover their position, permitting the gradual increase in pressure to a power valve or in a section of the pneumatic system upon restart. Parker Flow Control Regulators are unidirectional controls that adjust the speed of a cylinder rod by controlling the inlet or outlet flow. Parker Inline Flow Controls can be mounted anywhere, including on a panel, and can be ganged together. Parker Right Angle Flow Controls are designed for direct mounting on cylinders, and are available with fixed outlets and swivel outlets for restricted access locations.
