Advanced Heavy Industrial Plug Connectors

Harrisburg, Pa. - Phoenix Contact's Heavycon-Advance rectangular plug connector housing is now available with bayonet locking. Heavycon-Advance Bayonet is particularly suitable for applications where the connector will be plugged and unplugged. Operation is simple with the bayonet latch. On the mounting side, two small flanges have replaced the typical mounting base which lowers the cost compared to traditional rectangular connectors.

Heavycon-Advance housings are compatible with nearly every contact inserts in the Heavycon product family and meet the requirements of IP 65/66/67/68/69K protection. Constructed from aluminum die cast, they are available in three finishes: standard, for rugged requirements such as the automotive and machine industries; corrosion resistant when chemical and thermal influences are a concern; and EMC for shielding protection.

Heavycon-Advance housings provide more wiring space than Heavycon and other rectangular housings due to the high density design. The housings share the same footprint as standard industry accepted rectangular connectors and will support metric and NPT threaded cable connections.
