    KANSAS CITY, MO.-GE (NYSE: GE) today introduced SimPleat* pleated filter elements for industrial air filtration. Building on the proven high performance of GE's PulsePleat* filters, the new coreless SimPleat filters now provide an option for customers to upgrade more cost-effectively from traditional bag-and-cage technology. The new filters are suited to many process applications such as dryers, extruders, pill coating and tableting, mills and crushers, mixers, blenders, packaging lines, nuisance-dust control systems and bin/silo vents.

    GE's SimPleat filters represent an economic yet higher-performance alternative to bag-and-cage technology. With a filtration surface area up to four times greater than standard filter bags, they can help upgrade filtration system performance and increase equipment throughput. The new GE SimPleat filter elements are available for use in applications up to 180°F (82°C). Their simple one-step installation process typically requires no modification to existing industrial baghouse equipment, helping reduce maintenance time and costs.
