Plate Compactors provide high force at high frequency.

Press Release Summary:

Single-direction Models BOMAG BP25/48 and BP25/48D deliver 6,075 lb of centrifugal force at frequency of 5,400 vibrations/min. BP25/48 is powered by 5.5 hp Honda gasoline engine, while BP25/48D has 4 hp Hatz diesel engine. Wear-resistant base plates decrease amount of material pick-up and allow operators to turn units while compacting asphalt without scuffing work surface. Optional water sprinkler may be added for asphalt patching applications.

Original Press Release:

New BOMAG Single-Direction Plate Compactors Feature Increased Frequency and Centrifugal Force

KEWANEE, Ill. -The new BOMAG BP25/48 and BP25/48D single-direction, vibratory plate compactors deliver 6,075 pounds of centrifugal force - an increase of up to 35-percent compared with previous models. At the same time, the new units offer a frequency of 5,400 vibrations per minute, an increase of 15 percent.

The BP25/48 is powered by a 5.5-horsepower Honda gasoline engine with recoil start and automatic low-oil shutdown. The BP25/48D features a low-emission, 4-horsepower Hatz diesel engine with recoil start and automatic decompression.

Rugged, wear-resistant base plates on both the BP25/48 and BP25/48D help to maximize productivity and effectiveness. A high lip at the edge of the base plates adds strength, decreases the amount of material pick-up and allows operators to turn the units while compacting asphalt without scuffing the work surface.

A high-density plastic belt guard fully protects the V-belt from damage, extending belt life. A heavy-duty tubular frame prevents engine damage caused by rollover or striking job-site obstacles. Transport around and between job sites is simplified with a frame-integrated lifting point. The vibration-isolated steering handle enhances operator comfort and detaches for easy transport. An optional water sprinkler system may be added to either model for asphalt patching applications.

The system can be easily installed or removed, eliminating the need to transport the entire plate for water refills. Other optional accessories include transport wheels and a vulcolan mat for use on pavers or patio block.
