EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - May 12, 2005 - Iglide® plastic bearings from igus® Inc., are available in 20 material blends to deliver tailored performance for any application. With more than 6,000 metric and inch sizes and styles available from stock, igus supplies cost-effective, precise solutions for a wide array of application criteria, right off the shelf.
The bearing selection process requires a much deeper analysis than just a choice of plastic vs. bronze, steel or ball bearings. Factors such as speed, load and temperature play a cruical role in determining which iglide bearing will perform best for a customer's unique application.

There is an iglide material designed especially for a variety of specifications, such as the iglide Z for high temperatures, or iglide D for low friction.

They are molded in standard inch and metric sizes for easy retrofit into preexisting housings.
